The district-level "Children with Folk Songs" contest for the 2024-2025 school year attracted the participation of over 300 children, who were outstanding and outstanding faces selected from 30 kindergartens in the district. Participating in the contest, each team went through 2 rounds: a team introduction and a folk song singing contest. The performances were all selected by the school units, richly and diversely constructed, with investment in staging, costumes and music, creating great surprises for the judges and viewers, especially the self-composed folk songs or new lyrics, the humorous, cheerful greetings full of confidence and attraction of the children. The contest performances all carried the melodies of folk songs of various ethnic groups, praising the Party, Uncle Ho, expressing love for the homeland, country, people, and love for life.
Through the contest, we aim to create a useful and healthy playground for preschool children; create opportunities for children to demonstrate their abilities, develop their talents, form basic skills in musical activities, know how to apply skills to perform musical works, and develop comprehensively in terms of aesthetics, language, intelligence and physical strength. At the same time, educate children to love their homeland and country through folk songs.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 9 consolation prizes and 2 secondary prizes for the most impressive introduction and the child with the best folk singing voice.
