The highlight event responding to the Earth Hour Campaign over the years is "turning off the lights for one hour" with the symbol "60+". From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on March 22, at the walking street of Hoan Kiem Lake - Hanoi, there will be a launching ceremony to respond to Earth Hour 2025 with many interesting community interaction activities about the environment, climate, and energy saving. The event is organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Hanoi City, with the support of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership Program (ETP) under the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
Earth Hour 2025 will have a flashmob performance "Green Movement" with the participation of many students from many universities and colleges, especially those majoring in engineering and energy, which will stir up the event atmosphere. Through the organization of Earth Hour events for many years, it has always received enthusiastic responses from young people and they will turn off the lights together for one hour" with the symbol "60+".
Responding to the Earth Hour event is also a way for businesses and organizations operating in the energy and environment sector to commit to using energy efficiently and saving energy, and to promoting clean energy in Vietnam. Mr. Tran Viet Nguyen - Deputy Head of Business Department, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) affirmed: "The Group always takes March every year to respond to Earth Hour events, organize activities to promote electricity saving activities, advise customers on electricity saving solutions and we also hope that these programs will be carried out not only in March or April and May but also on all the remaining days of the year, we will carry out these contents; especially in communication work to customers to raise awareness and understanding of why we must use electricity economically and effectively to protect the environment".

With the spreading effect of the Earth Hour event over the years, since the beginning of March, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has organized many events to launch the movement "All people save energy in response to Earth Hour 2025" with the message "Green transition - Green future". Mr. Dang Hai Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) noted: "With the Earth Hour 2025 campaign, the Ministry of Industry and Trade still recognizes the active participation of businesses, artists, journalists, propagandists, and the community in implementing green initiatives and communication activities on sustainable energy. The campaign does not stop at turning off the lights but is also an opportunity to promote a green future, spreading the message of environmental protection and energy saving to the whole society.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long emphasized the importance of "green transition" for the "green future" and the tasks of the Industry and Trade sector, in which, energy transition on both the supply side (such as strongly developing non-fossil energy sources) and the demand side (such as using energy economically and efficiently) are the leading solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to the fastest implementation of the carbon neutrality goal according to the commitment of the Vietnamese Government at COP 26. Within the framework of the National Program on economical and efficient use of energy for the period 2019 - 2030, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a call for the whole people to save energy in response to Earth Hour 2025: "As the co-chair of the Earth Hour event, for many years the Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched the "All people save energy in response to Earth Hour" races with this year's message being "Green transition - Green future" we hope that through these events, Events held nationwide increasingly raise awareness among people and society about energy saving, using energy economically and efficiently.

Earth Hour “60+” is an initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), held annually to raise public awareness of climate change and energy saving around the world. First held in Sydney, Australia in 2007, Earth Hour has now become one of the world’s largest environmental campaigns, with participation in more than 180 countries and territories.
