Accordingly, from March 25 to April 25, 2025, Hue City will simultaneously vaccinate dogs and cats in the city; then organize additional vaccinations for newly grown and raised dogs and cats; dogs and cats that have not been vaccinated against rabies during the main vaccination period, and dogs and cats that have been vaccinated against rabies and have lost their immunity.
Specifically, 61,850 doses of vaccine will be injected into dogs and cats and all dog and cat owners will be provided with civil liability insurance (61,850 cases). Strive for 100% of dogs and cats subject to vaccination to be vaccinated; 100% of villages and communes will be able to manage dog herds and organize rabies vaccination.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Hue City, said that vaccination and insurance will control rabies in dogs and cats; create active immunity for dogs and cats to prevent rabies from arising and spreading, contributing to protecting the health of people and the community. On the other hand, it will manage the number of households and the number of dogs and cats raised; limit the release of dogs and cats to bite people. Enhance the civil responsibility of dog and cat owners; minimize damage to dog and cat owners and people bitten by dogs and cats who have to get preventive vaccinations...
Also at the Conference, according to the report of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, vaccination of livestock and poultry in the spring crop was maintained, reaching over 65% and increasing compared to the same period in 2024.
