According to the results of the second round of the competency assessment exam, out of more than 42,000 candidates, more than 28,500 candidates took the first round. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment (Ho Chi Minh City National University), said that the average score of the second round of the exam was nearly 650.4 points. Notably, 109 candidates scored over 1,000 points, with the candidate with the highest score being 1,133 points.

"In the second round of this year's exam, more than 60% of candidates participated in the first round and the results of these candidates did not change much compared to the previous round. This shows that the exam is highly stable," Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh assessed.

In total, this year's exam, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh noted that both rounds of exams had more than 100,000 candidates taking the exam. The score distribution of candidates in the two rounds of competency assessment exams has a standard and widespread distribution, showing a high ability to classify candidates, which is favorable for admission. "The general score distribution of 2023 and 2022 is almost the same," Dr. Chinh added.

The 2023 Competency Assessment Exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University attracted 91 educational institutions to register to use the exam results for admission. Of which, 66 units used the same online admission registration system of Ho Chi Minh City National University. Nearly 38,000 candidates have registered for admission on this portal with more than 160,000 wishes. Of which, the number of candidates registering for admission to member units of Ho Chi Minh City National University is currently at different levels.

According to data updated to May 30, the University of Economics and Law has the largest number of registered students at nearly 11,000 students, but only about 40% compared to last year. Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Sciences currently has over 9,500 registered students, reaching over 70% compared to 2022. Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology has over 7,500 students (reaching over 62%), Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities has over 6,800 students (only reaching 35% compared to last year), International University has over 4,900 students (reaching over 46%)...
