The 2023 Ho Chi Minh City Student Basketball Tournament will take place over 2 weeks, from December 6-20, 2023 at Lanh Binh Thang Gymnasium (District 11). The tournament is co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and the City Basketball Federation, with the support of the Nestlé MILO brand.

This year, the tournament continues to attract much attention and support from schools in the city. During the two weeks (December 6-20), the tournament will have 1,054 students from 62 teams from 33 universities and colleges competing.
Mr. Huynh Trong Khai, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Basketball Federation shared: Student basketball is oriented for long-term development, constantly expanding its scale as well as professionalism and influence every year. From annual tournaments such as the Ho Chi Minh City Student Basketball Tournament, students will have the opportunity to experience a professional sports environment through exchange activities and competitions with professional student teams in the region and internationally.
It is known that, along with football, swimming, aerobics... basketball is also on the list of official sports of the Dynamic Vietnam program implemented since 2016.
This subject not only contributes to improving physical health but also helps children learn valuable values such as perseverance, self-confidence, never giving up, leadership and team spirit.
At the same time, student tournaments such as the Ho Chi Minh City Student Basketball Tournament in 2023 are also a place to train many young sports talents to add to the national team, contributing to the development of Vietnamese basketball.
