Since the launch of the iPhone product line, sometimes accidentally deleting photos permanently and unable to recover them has always made users feel difficult and wish Apple could support users. Now, "reviving" is no longer an impossible task.
It is known that Apple's iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia update will add a new album called Recovered in the Photos app. This album is designed to help iPhone, iPad... users to recover lost, damaged, or permanently deleted photos and videos on the device.
In addition, when users of Apple products upgrade to iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, the device will automatically scan for recoverable photo and video files and display them in the "Recover" album located in the "Utilities" section of the Photos app.
Notably, the "Recovered" album will operate completely separately from the "Recently Deleted" album - which temporarily stores images that users delete within 30 days before being permanently deleted. However, Apple has not yet made an official announcement on whether photos and videos in the Recovered album will be automatically deleted after a certain period of time.
In addition, Apple has also quickly fixed the error that caused some iPhone users to unexpectedly find deleted photos in their photo library in iOS 17.5. The "bitten apple" also said that this is a "rare error" that can occur on some devices with "photos with database corruption."
It can be said that Apple is highly appreciated by many technology users for creating the "Recovered" album because in addition to pleasing customers, this also gives users peace of mind when using iPhone and iPad products. This feature promises to help users "revive" photos or videos that they "accidentally" deleted.
Apple has officially released public betas for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and more. But the official versions will be released this fall.
