Binh Dinh: Aiming for each locality to build at least 1 community tourism model

The plan was issued to specify the contents of viewpoints, objectives and tasks in Decision No. 3222/QD-BVHTTDL dated October 30, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on approving the Project on developing community tourism in Vietnam, ensuring compliance with the actual conditions of the province and the tourism development orientations integrated in the Binh Dinh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved in Decision No. 1619/QD-TTg dated December 24, 2023 of the Prime Minister.

By 2030, each locality will build at least 1 community tourism model.

At the same time, develop sustainable community tourism; promote the value of natural advantages, resources, nature, historical relics, scenic spots; contribute to preserving and conserving cultural identity, landscape, space and protecting the ecological environment; ensure security, order and social safety.. Gradually form a complete and effective model of community tourism to replicate throughout the province.

The objective of the plan is to unify awareness and viewpoints on linking community tourism development with new rural construction, improving people's lives; promoting the movement of building rural economy, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction; supporting access to resources and public services for rural areas and ethnic minority areas, making community tourism a complete and important product in the product system of Binh Dinh tourism, thereby positioning the Binh Dinh community tourism brand on the Vietnam tourism map.

The specific stages to be implemented will aim at developing community tourism products and services associated with preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​and developing cultural industries; forming unique characteristics of each locality associated with the experience of tourists; gradually building and developing the Binh Dinh community tourism brand to participate deeply in the chain of cultural products and services serving tourists. In addition, improving the quality of community tourism services, developing tourism in a sustainable direction; preserving and diversifying local occupations for the community, improving the livelihoods of people, especially in areas with a large number of ethnic minorities in the province.

The plan is divided into 2 specific phases, in which, by 2025, promoting community tourism at 4 locations including Nhon Ly Commune Community Tourism Site, Quy Nhon City; Nhon Hai Commune Community Tourism Site, Quy Nhon City; Thuan Nghia Vegetable Village Community Tourism Site, Phu Phong Town, Tay Son District; K3 Village Community Tourism Site, Vinh Son Commune, Vinh Thanh District

By 2030, each locality will develop at least one community tourism model for replication. The model is characterized by exploiting the potential, strengths, and natural resources, culture, and traditional craft villages of the locality.
