According to Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son, Director, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, the Conference was held to summarize, evaluate, and draw lessons from emulation movements, commend and honor collectives and individuals who are typical examples with many outstanding achievements in all aspects of work in the period of 2020-2025; thereby building, orienting tasks and innovative and creative solutions to organize emulation movements that are more extensive, widespread, and encourage more strongly, truly becoming a driving force to bring the country into a new era, an era of national growth.
Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", in recent years, the emulation and reward work of the Academy of Journalism and Communication has always received attention and has achieved certain progress. Cadres, civil servants and employees of the Academy always strive to fulfill their assigned tasks. Emulation movements and results have become an important driving force in the process of building and developing the Academy, as well as an effective management and administration tool for leaders of units.
Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son affirmed that in the period of 2020-2025, the emulation and reward work of the Academy of Journalism and Communication always closely follows the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on emulation and rewards, especially the Law on Emulation and Rewards and guiding documents on this work of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; proactively develops and implements plans, guides summarizing and summarizing emulation movements to ensure practicality and effectiveness, contributing significantly to the successful completion of political tasks assigned by the Party, the State and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
Reporting on the direction and solutions for the patriotic emulation movement in the period of 2025-2030 of the Academy, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang, Deputy Director of the Academy, Vice President of the Academy's Emulation and Reward Council, informed that in order to continue to achieve new achievements and become a driving force for the development of the Academy in carrying out political tasks in the spirit of Directive No. 41 dated December 26, 2024 of the Politburo "on strengthening the Party's leadership in emulation and reward work in the new situation", the Academy's Emulation and Reward Council and each collective and individual need to focus on major directions.
Speaking at the Conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, assessed: “Over the past 5 years, the Academy of Journalism and Communication has closely followed the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, actively participated in the emulation movements of the Academy system, and at the same time had many creative and innovative ways of doing things, achieving positive results, worthy of being a Party school and a key national university. The Academy has had many creative ways of doing things, typically in training and fostering, with many training programs recognized as meeting educational quality standards”.
Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam suggested that in the coming time, the Academy of Journalism and Communication should continue to promote its achievements, while making more efforts to achieve new and higher achievements; focusing on key tasks such as: quickly and urgently completing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Party on streamlining the organizational structure, ensuring leanness, compactness, strength, effective and efficient operations; seriously organizing the implementation of Directive No. 41-CT/TW dated December 26, 2024 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in emulation and reward work in the new situation; continuing to innovate and improve the quality of training and fostering work. Within the framework of the Conference, many opinions were discussed to disseminate, spread and replicate initiatives, experiences, models and effective solutions in the emulation movements of the Academy of Journalism and Communication. The Conference also commended, honored and rewarded collectives and individuals who are typical advanced models of the Academy and approved the list of delegates to attend the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (2025-2030 period).
