Tuition-free: Humane policy, expanding learning opportunities

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, exempting all tuition fees from the 2025-2026 school year is a popular decision, demonstrating the superior nature of our regime. This is not only a policy that provides economic support to families, especially those in difficult circumstances, but also a motivation to help all children go to school without having to worry about finances.

"Education is the key to success. When all children go to school and study in the best conditions, the opportunities for self-development and contribution to society will be much wider," emphasized the Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society.

Exempting tuition fees not only helps reduce the financial burden on parents, but also contributes to improving the quality of education, helping Vietnam have a well-trained young generation to meet future development needs.

"Free tuition means that public school students do not have to pay tuition in any form. If there are other contributions, they must comply with the law. We will closely monitor to ensure transparency and fairness in implementing this policy," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh affirmed .

Discussing lifelong learning, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh quoted the views of General Secretary To Lam, emphasizing that this is the key to helping Vietnam develop sustainably. He believes that learning does not stop at school, but must become a continuous process that lasts throughout life.

"We study not only to get a degree, but more importantly to improve our qualifications, work more effectively, and contribute more to society and the country."

According to the Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, to build a real learning society, Vietnam needs stronger support policies, from developing a library system, digital resources... to expanding flexible forms of education, helping people access knowledge more easily.

In the context of rapidly developing technology, workers need to continuously improve their skills to avoid falling behind. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh believes that it is necessary to create favorable conditions for them to study and update their knowledge through vocational training programs and online learning platforms.

"No one can succeed if they stop learning. No matter what age you are, you still need to improve your qualifications to meet the increasing demands of work and the labor market," said the Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs.

Not only students or workers, but also officials and civil servants must constantly learn to improve their capacity. Learning helps them not only to be good at their profession, but also to practice leadership skills, the ability to coordinate work and especially to cultivate moral qualities and a sense of responsibility to the country and the people.

"Lifelong learning helps cadres dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility and be ready to contribute for the common good. This is a prerequisite for building a strong political system," Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dac Vinh hopes that the young generation will maintain a spirit of eagerness to learn, always proactively seek and discover new knowledge, especially taking advantage of technology to improve learning efficiency, instead of just learning in a conventional, passive way.

"Learning is a journey that has no end. It is necessary to develop the habit of self-study and proactively seek knowledge. When young people constantly develop themselves, opportunities and success will come naturally," said the Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society.
