Advisory board members believe that students need to choose the right major and school, and most importantly, find a suitable job after graduation.
On March 22, the 24th "Bringing School to Candidates" program in 2025 organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training (GD-DT) of Binh Duong province, Binh Duong Radio and Television Station, took place at Trinh Hoai Duc Primary - Secondary - High School (Thuan An City).
Unlimited admission combinations
Since 6:30 a.m., hundreds of students have arrived to attend the program. Many groups of students from far away were arranged by the organizers to pick them up and drop them off safely. The students said that although the Ministry of Education and Training has just issued the enrollment regulations, they still want to hear information directly from consultants and universities to have full information for registering for university admission in 2025.

The information that most 12th grade students and teachers are most interested in at this time is still the 2025 university and college admission regulations. Dr. Duong Ton Thai Duong, Deputy Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City National University, said that this year's admission regulations have some new points such as the Ministry of Education and Training stipulating that there will be no more early admission; when considering transcripts, schools must use the entire 12th grade academic results; publicize the conversion rules equivalent to the admission score; there is no limit on the number of admission combinations; use appropriate foreign language certificates to convert to foreign language subject scores in admission; the total score does not exceed 10% of the maximum score of the admission scale.

Dr. Duong noted that students must clearly understand the admission methods of the schools to see where their advantages are. It is necessary to clearly understand the school code - major code - order of wishes. This year, schools do not conduct early admission, candidates only register for admission after finishing the exam. Only direct admission will be conducted first, the rest will be admitted at the same time. Candidates are provided with an account to register on the admission system. "To make a smart choice, you need to carefully research the major - profession - training program of each major and each school that you are interested in" - Dr. Duong Ton Thai Duong advised.
Worried about job opportunities
Students in Binh Duong province are quite practical when asking which major and school to study to have more job opportunities.
Answering the question of whether to study near home or choose another prestigious university in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Ngo Hong Diep, Vice Principal of Thu Dau Mot University, expressed his opinion that whether you study at a high school or a continuing education center, you all have the same opportunities, you have the right to be proud and confident in your own abilities. Studying at Thu Dau Mot University or another school in Binh Duong, geographically speaking, is studying near home. "Which school you study at is not important, what is important is that after you finish studying, you will have a job to take care of your future. You need to determine your family's financial resources to choose a suitable school. After solving the financial problem, you need to determine which major to study to do what you love and are suitable for. That major must solve the job needs in Binh Duong and even the wider area" - Dr. Diep advised.
In response to students' questions about job opportunities after graduating from Vietnam-Germany University, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thanh Duong, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering - Vietnam-Germany University, shared that this is an international school. The program at the school is taught by German professors. In the training program, the school also has a semester to encourage students to study at a partner school in Germany. Many generations of students are still studying and working in Germany and other European countries.
Answering the question of what major to study and local job opportunities in the information technology industry, Ms. Bui Thi Huong, Deputy Head of Admissions Department, Binh Duong University, said that the school's training programs must meet the requirements of businesses. In the program, students have enough knowledge to join the high-quality human resources team in the province and other localities in the region.
Many attractive industries and careers
Many students learn about the training program and academic requirements for the health majors of Nguyen Tat Thanh University. MSc. Truong Quang Tri, Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department of the school, informed: The health majors need to ensure the entrance standards according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Depending on each specific major, there will be different entrance scores. The school is currently collaborating with medical facilities to create internship facilities and connect jobs after graduation for students in the health majors.
Regarding the multimedia communications industry, Master Tran Manh Thai, Van Hien University, said that this is the industry that creates communication products that students often see in buildings, billboards on the street, on social networking platforms... With this industry, students will coordinate with a number of other industries such as marketing to realize ideas into communication products that spread on platforms and information channels for businesses.
Students are also concerned about the difference between the high-quality program and the mass program of Ho Chi Minh City Open University. Dr. Le Xuan Truong, Vice Principal of the school, said that the high-quality and mass training programs are similar in subjects but different in output standards. Tuition fees for the high-quality program are higher than the mass program. Lecturers of the high-quality program are selected more carefully.
In addition, students are interested in job opportunities in the law industry. Master Vu Dinh Le, Head of Admissions Consulting Department - Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, said that the law industry is the school's strength. Graduates can work in places specializing in law or oriented towards law. Job opportunities are very open, so students can rest assured.
The restaurant service and hotel management major of the University of Finance and Marketing is also of interest to many students. Dr. Le Trung Dao, Vice Principal of the school, said that in the training program, there is 50% theory, 50% practice right in the school. Right in the first year, students have been able to go to large hotels to practice and experience depending on each subject. They also have the opportunity to practice their profession, approach reality; are equipped with startup knowledge to have the opportunity to approach businesses. 20% of the study time is spent studying with hotel and restaurant experts.
Regarding the food technology industry at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, Dr. Bui Hong Dang - Vice President, Head of the School Council - said that the food technology industry is a very strong industry of the school. In addition to the traditional food technology industry, the school has a new industry of food business administration. In the past 3 years, the school's students have won prizes in the science and technology competition of the Ministry of Education and Training, all of which are from the food technology industry. Regarding job opportunities, the employment rate of students is nearly 100% because businesses come to recruit them before they graduate. The school's food technology training program is built according to international standards.
Study and rest properly
Relieving anxiety and psychological pressure during exam season, Dr. Phan Thi Cam Giang, a psychological consultant and Head of the Psychology Department at Saigon International University, said that anxiety before exams is inevitable. To overcome anxiety, students need to identify their strengths and weaknesses, then set a goal for the exam. Once you have a goal, you need to develop a detailed and clear plan. Once you have a plan, implement it in the best way possible. "We must arrange a reasonable study and rest plan. Many candidates study very well but on exam day they cannot do it because they are exhausted, too tired, and cannot get up. Therefore, you must know your limits. You must share with your friends, relatives and teachers the pressures you are facing" - Dr. Giang shared.
