(NLDO) - Hoan Kiem District only replaces and moves small, worthless trees and diseased trees in Ly Thai To flower garden, but does not move valuable, long-standing trees.
The People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District (Hanoi City) has just issued an announcement regarding the project to renovate and beautify Ly Thai To flower garden.

According to the Hoan Kiem district government, the total number of trees in Ly Thai To flower garden is diversely planted over many periods with a total of 100 trees (20 types) such as sua, yellow anh, than mat, bang lang, giang huong, barringtonia, hoang can, muong, banyan, de, lat, mango, phoenix, si, sanh, sua, lan, chay, seo, and dau nuoc.
Hoan Kiem District clearly stated that it will follow the principle that valuable trees, perennial trees, and ancient trees will not be affected; only small, worthless trees and diseased trees will be replaced or moved.
The People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District proposed to move and relocate 25 trees, of which 16 will be moved within the flower garden and 9 will be replaced with diseased trees. At the same time, 30 trees will be replaced and supplemented with species suitable for Hanoi's climate. When completed, the total number of shade trees in Ly Thai To Flower Garden will be 114, an increase of 14 trees compared to before the renovation, according to the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District.
According to the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District, the consultation with the community on the renovation and beautification plan for Ly Thai To flower garden was completed on February 25. Construction is expected to begin in April and be completed in October this year.
Regarding this, Mr. Duong Duc Tuan, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to review the content of the proposal and recommendation of Hoan Kiem District People's Committee to advise, propose and report to the City People's Committee.
Regarding the Km0 category, Hoan Kiem district said that this project is located in the center of the Ly Thai To flower garden festival yard from the results of the design competition organized by the Vietnam Association of Architects in 2020 and is being adjusted to suit the current technical conditions.
