On March 22, the 8 best teams representing 8 provinces of Tuyen Quang, Ha Nam, Hoa Binh, Cao Bang, Vung Tau, Ninh Binh, Nghe An and Can Tho gathered at the Lao Cai City Multi-purpose Gymnasium, Lao Cai Province to compete in the National Traffic Safety Skills Exchange for primary school students, within the framework of the program "Toyota and I learn Traffic Safety". Nearly 1,000 primary school students from all over Lao Cai province gathered here to cheer for the teams, join in the exciting atmosphere of the competition day, and at the same time be inspired by the spirit of learning and applying traffic safety knowledge.

Organized consistently over the past 20 years, “Toyota and I Learn Traffic Safety” has become an indispensable part of traffic safety education in schools, for both teachers and students. Therefore, the program has received special attention from the Ministry of Education and Training, the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Primary Education Department under the Department of Education and Training of the provinces and many Toyota dealers nationwide. At the event, Mr. Kei Nishikawa - Director of Administration and Social Responsibility, shared: “We believe that educating and raising awareness of traffic safety for children today is a solid foundation for building a safe and sustainable future for the country.
At today's exchange day, we are really happy to receive the enthusiastic response and participation of teachers and students nationwide. Through 3 main competitions including: Performing skits, demonstrating talent on the topic of Traffic Safety, Learning knowledge through the game "Relay Race" and Solving secret crosswords on the topic of Traffic Safety, Ninh Binh, Cao Bang and Vung Tau were the 3 teams receiving the highest total scores. The safe traffic island model - a vivid and creative educational tool, combining theory with practice, helping to improve the quality of teaching and learning about traffic safety for teachers and students was awarded by Toyota Vietnam to the 3 winning teams.

In addition to the exchange program for students, a Teachers' Workshop was also held on the afternoon of March 21, creating an opportunity for teachers to exchange and share experiences in teaching traffic safety knowledge, contributing to spreading practical values to the younger generation. At the event, 16 teachers representing 8 provinces and cities were awarded certificates, as a recognition and gratitude for their meaningful contributions to the program. From here, teachers will disseminate effective traffic education methods and skills to local teachers, apply them in practice, and improve the quality of traffic safety training in schools.

In particular, in this year's program, students also experienced traffic situations, transforming into pedestrians, cyclists, traffic police, car and motorbike drivers to simulate 5 traffic situations equivalent to 5 questions. This activity not only helps students better understand traffic laws but also trains their skills in handling real-life situations in a vivid and intuitive way.

Appearing on stage with an interactive dance performance, talented doctor Be Thi Bang left a special impression on all the students and delegates attending the program. At the ambitious age of 24, Be Thi Bang had a serious traffic accident and lost a part of her body, but with a strong spirit, she turned the challenge into motivation, overcoming the pain to continue her meaningful journey. “Traffic accidents have left very serious consequences for families and society. As a victim of a traffic accident, I understand more than anyone else the pain that accidents cause. Therefore, building traffic awareness and raising responsibility for traffic safety is very necessary and important. Through today's program, I want to send a message to the community and society: Each of us, wherever we are, must be aware, comply with traffic safety rules and always pay attention to driving carefully when participating in traffic. Safety for yourself is also happiness for others", Be Thi Bang shared.
The experiences, sharing and extraordinary determination of the strong doctor Be Thi Bang are a great source of motivation for students to be aware of the seriousness of traffic accidents, to actively study, cultivate knowledge and practice skills to participate in traffic safety.
