The project to improve the landscape of the riverside sidewalk along Thang Long Street from Asia Park to the border of Cam Le District has a total investment of 44.2 billion VND, starting from May 2024; total length of nearly 2km, sidewalk width from 15 - 21.6m, with design solutions for arranging walking paths, bicycle paths, public toilets, stone benches, seats, exercise equipment... to create a highlight of the landscape space in the area, continuously connecting the landscape highlights from Hoa Xuan Bridge to Phan Dang Luu Avenue under construction, promoting the value of the city's riverside route. At the same time, the project also creates a space for walking, cycling, and sports for tourists and residents in the area.
This is the first landscape project in the city to introduce the Phong Linh tree species into a pilot planting to create a highlight for the landscape space combined with shade for the area along the river. Phong Linh is a type of tree that is suitable for local soil, meaning to bring luck, the yellow flower color symbolizes fortune, wealth, brings a pleasant and comfortable feeling to passersby and promises to be a check-in point for tourists and locals during the blooming season.
In addition, in order to create a friendly and civilized landscape for the route when put into operation, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works of the City has mobilized the socialization of 3 clusters of smart, modern public toilets with many superior features, with automatic sensor function to open and close the door; using high-class sanitary equipment, with antibacterial features, environmentally friendly, highly durable and installed for the first time in Da Nang city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized that the project of improving the landscape of the riverside sidewalk along Thang Long Street from Asia Park to the border of Cam Le District is a project of important political and social significance, aiming to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City.
According to the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, the project is designed to be modern and user-friendly, to meet the increasing travel needs of residents and tourists; contribute to the completion and synchronous connection of technical infrastructure, continuously connecting the riverside walking route, contributing to the embellishment of the landscape, strengthening the green space for the urban area; create space for public activities, entertainment of the community in the area; at the same time, it is also a highlight of the city's landscape on the west bank of Cam Le River.
The project to renovate the landscape of the riverside sidewalk along Thang Long Street from Asia Park to the border of Cam Le District is designed to be modern and user-friendly.
“Hopefully, with this renovation, the sidewalk of Thang Long Street will become a safe, clean and beautiful space, encouraging people to walk, contributing to building a civilized and modern Da Nang city. The city government will continue to make efforts to improve the infrastructure, increasingly better meeting the needs of the people and the requirements of the city's socio-economic development in the coming time,” Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi shared.
