Germany The rift between coach Thomas Tuchel and Bayern players is becoming clear, according to former midfielder Didi Hamann.
"Tuchel has been at Bayern for 10 or 11 months. And if you don't have the support of the players in the team after four or six weeks, it's very difficult," Hamann told Sky on February 19. "A lot of cracks have appeared."
Hamann also doesn't believe Bayern's players will change their attitude and return to fight for Tuchel. "I suspect the players want to kick the coach out of his chair," the former midfielder said. He also believes that the only person Tuchel can rely on at the moment is Matthijs De Ligt, a centre-back who has played a limited role since joining from Juventus in 2022.

Hamann also believes that Tuchel's style of play lacks the dominating element of his predecessors at Bayern, citing evidence that Bayern play unconvincingly even when winning.
"The 0-3 defeat to Leverkusen exposed weaknesses in their playing style," Hamann added.
However, the former Bayern midfielder is also hopeful that his old team can turn things around in the remaining stages of the season. He believes that things could change if Bayern overcome Lazio in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16.
Bayern have lost three games in a row in a week. They started the week with a 3-0 defeat to Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, then lost 1-0 to Lazio in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16, before losing 3-2 to Bochum in the Bundesliga round of 22.
