VFF Executive Committee will meet about Mr. Tran Anh Tu's resignation

Early afternoon of March 12, VFF announced: "VFF received a request to the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Committee from Vice President Tran Anh Tu, requesting to resign from the positions he is holding at VFF. Currently, the Standing Committee of VFF has received the above request and will report to the VFF Executive Committee at the nearest meeting."

Mr. Tran Anh Tu also submitted a letter to the VPF Board of Directors requesting to resign from the position of VFF President. In the immediate future, VPF will hold a board meeting to elect an acting VFF President, temporarily in charge until the VPF General Meeting of Shareholders.

Mr. Tu is also holding the position of Head of VFF Futsal Department in addition to the position of VFF Vice President in charge of professional matters.

Recently, at the ceremony to honor the Vietnamese team for their outstanding achievement - winning the AFF Cup 2024, as the head of the team, Mr. Tran Anh Tu gave a remarkable speech: "To prepare for participating in the AFF Cup 2024, the Vietnamese team will gather from November 21, 2024.

This is not a long but not short period of time, enough for us to not only try our best on the field but also understand more clearly the spirit of solidarity, determination and love that the fans and the country have given to the team. In addition to training in the country, the Vietnamese team had the opportunity to compete in 5 different countries, participating in 11 matches, including 3 friendly matches in Korea and 8 official matches.

The team's results are extremely proud with 10 wins and 1 draw. That is a remarkable achievement, reflecting the players' relentless efforts and determination". The head of the Vietnamese football delegation shared: "In the past 1.5 months, we have not only been a team but also a close-knit, united family. The players always compete with the spirit of "determination to fight, determination to win" and constantly strive to improve despite facing many challenges. That success must be attributed to the guidance of Coach Kim Sang-sik, whom the players and we still jokingly call "Brother Sau Sang". Not only is he good at his profession, Coach Kim Sang-sik is also someone who has the ability to awaken the strengths of each player, creating in each player the desire to devote himself to the team".

Mr. Tran Anh Tu emphasized: "We also cannot fail to mention the careful preparation and close attention of VFF. Under the direction of VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan, the Vietnamese team always receives the best conditions from personnel to supporting equipment. This has created an ideal environment for players to practice and compete with the highest efficiency."
