Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong and the working delegation worked with leaders of Ham Yen district.
According to the report of the leaders of Ham Yen district, in 2023 the district welcomed 115 thousand visitors. The district is planning and developing tourism at Khon Lake, Thai Son commune; Cao Duong village, Yen Thuan commune; exploiting the potential of the Lo River hydroelectric reservoir area; Cham Chu mountain eco-tourism; preserving and promoting the Ethnic Cultural Village of Pac Cap village, Ma Hec waterfall, Phu Luu commune; Dong Tien tourist site, Thac Cai temple, Yen Phu commune; Toan Thang Palace relic, Thanh Long commune; Bac Muc temple, Tan Yen town walking street.
The district focuses on developing farm tourism, helping tourists visit and experience the orchards of oranges, apples, dragon fruits and tea gardens in the area. Up to now, the district has 34 OCOP products, including 2 4-star products and 32 3-star products. Ham Yen encourages localities to develop traditional crafts such as rattan, bamboo, reed, silk, brocade weaving; promote traditional festivals in the area...
The delegation inspected the construction of the Cultural House in Lang Chieng village, Yen Phu commune.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong affirmed that Ham Yen has the advantage of being a large fruit growing area of the province, with great potential for developing farm tourism. In the near future, Ham Yen will have a highway running through the area, making travel very convenient. However, the development is still in the formative stage.
Through the working survey of the Working Group, he suggested that Ham Yen district adhere to Resolution 29 of the Provincial Party Committee; Resolution of the Provincial People's Council; plans and projects of the Provincial People's Committee to develop culture, sports and tourism with focus and key points, building typical brands of the district such as Ham Yen oranges, Minh Huong duck, and Lang Bat green tea.
The delegation visited the dragon fruit garden in Yen Phu commune.
At the same time, raise awareness of Party committees, authorities at all levels, and people about tourism development. The district must have good planning, incentive policies, support, and build infrastructure and ancillary services; need to be more drastic in directing and operating tourism development in the area.
