Hai Phong meets and honors typical enterprises in 2023

Currently, the city has 22,056 operating enterprises, of which 3,521 are newly established, an increase of nearly 9.31% compared to 2022. Enterprises have made a significant contribution to the city budget, reaching 16,056/43,472 billion VND, accounting for 36.93%, equal to 98.95% compared to 2022.

Among these are many enterprises in the top 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam such as: Vinfast, Tien Phong Plastic, Viet Phat, LG companies, Vietnam Maritime Transport, Hai Phong Port, Hoang Huy...

Many enterprises paid over 500 billion VND to the budget such as: Vinfast Production and Trading Joint Stock Company paid over 2,088 billion VND; Dragon Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company paid over 1,319 billion VND; Hoang Huy Financial Services Investment Joint Stock Company paid over 1,154 billion VND; Hung Ngan Hai Phong Company Limited paid over 1,128 billion VND; 22 enterprises paid from 100 to 500 billion VND; 25 enterprises paid from 50 to nearly 100 billion VND and 195 enterprises paid from 10 billion to nearly 50 billion VND.

Of which, the central and local state-owned enterprises in the area contributed VND2,512 billion, accounting for 5.8% of total revenue, reaching the central estimate, equal to 85.6% over the same period. The FDI enterprise sector contributed VND5,760 billion, accounting for 13.25% of total revenue, reaching 115.2% of the central estimate; up 0.6% over the same period. The non-state enterprise sector contributed nearly VND7,749 billion, accounting for 17.93% of total revenue, up 0.5% over the same period.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung - Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee - acknowledged the efforts to overcome all difficulties and the great contributions of the business community to the strong and comprehensive development of the city in the past time, and at the same time hoped that businesses would continuously grow and continue to contribute to the development of the city in the coming time.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, 2024 is a year of special significance, a pivotal year for the city to complete the goals of the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress, therefore, the contribution of the business community and entrepreneurs is of special significance in the overall development of the city.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City commended, praised, and awarded certificates of merit to many outstanding business groups with outstanding achievements and positive contributions to the city's socio-economic development in 2023.
