Inauguration of 110kV power line and transformer station worth 125 billion VND in Hai Phong

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Anh Quan, General Director of Northern Power Corporation and representatives of relevant departments, branches, units and localities.

According to the leader of Hai Phong Power Company Limited, with the current rapid development of the city, the demand for electricity is increasing sharply. In the period of 2021 - 2023 alone, the city's commercial electricity will grow by an average of 8.63% per year. To meet the growth rate of Hai Phong's load, the Northern Power Corporation is implementing many projects in the city, including 110kV projects with a total investment of about 1,600 billion VND. Of which, Hai Phong Power Company Limited is implementing 55 projects with a total investment of about 826 billion VND, including 14 110kV grid projects, 31 medium and low voltage projects and 10 other projects. The Power Development Project Management Board is implementing 16 110kV projects with a total investment of 1,726.6 billion VND.

The Kien Thuy 110kV transmission line and transformer station project was assigned by the Northern Power Corporation to Hai Phong Power Company Limited to manage the project. Previously, Kien Thuy district was supplied with electricity via the 22kV grid from the Kien An 110kV station and the Do Son 110kV station. Maintaining power supply encountered many difficulties because the 22kV lines supplied from the Kien An and Do Son 110kV stations were fully loaded, so the construction of the Kien Thuy 110kV station will help meet the increasing demand for domestic and industrial loads in Kien Thuy district, while also providing backup power for neighboring areas such as Do Son, Kien An, and Duong Kinh districts.

According to the Project Management Board, after 6 months of construction, the Kien Thuy 110kV transmission line and substation project has been completed, energized and put into operation, meeting the increasing demand for domestic and industrial loads in Kien Thuy district. The project has a total investment of more than 125.2 billion VND. The scale of the project is to build a new 110kV transmission line with a length of more than 3.3 km; the 110KV transformer station is installed with 2 630KVA transformers - phase 1, with a full system of income, metering, surveillance cameras, automatic fire protection to ensure the transformer station is put into operation in remote control mode, allowing connection and exchange of communication protocols with the regional remote control center.

This is a project to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Northern Power Corporation and the 70th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam Electricity industry.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Northern Power Corporation and Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Anh Quan praised the Hai Phong City Power Grid Project Management Board for ensuring the quality of the project, constructing it according to the design, putting the project into operation according to the plan, contributing to the development of the local and city economy.
