According to Mr. Bui Ngoc Hai - Deputy Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, this event is not only a good opportunity to connect high-tech enterprises from Taipei, China with high-quality human resources in Vietnam, but also demonstrates the important role of Hai Phong City in the economic development trend, leading the way in key manufacturing sectors such as electronics, high technology, semiconductor industry, etc. The Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board is committed to accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for investors and enterprises to participate in activities in the city as well as focusing on caring, connecting, and improving the quality of human resources in related sectors.
The founder of the Southeast Asia Influence Alliance - Mr. Hoang Te Nguyen - expressed his impression of the potential for high-tech development in Vietnam, especially emphasizing the advantages of Hai Phong City in attracting foreign investors, and sharing the importance of nurturing and training skilled human resources in Vietnam.
Mr. Hoang Te Nguyen affirmed that the Southeast Asia Influence Alliance will continue to coordinate with Hai Phong City in particular and Vietnam in general in connecting the training of high-quality human resources with Chinese Taipei enterprises.
As of October 31, 2023, Hai Phong City has a total of 904 foreign investment projects with a total investment capital of nearly 30 billion USD. Of which, industrial parks and economic zones have 511 projects with a total capital of 25.76 billion USD. In the first 10 months of 2023 alone, Hai Phong is one of the leading localities in the country in attracting FDI with 3.1 billion USD (reaching 122% of the 2023 plan). The goal by 2025 is that Hai Phong will attract about 10 billion USD of FDI capital. According to preliminary calculations, 10,000 workers will be needed for 1 billion USD of attracted FDI capital, of which 3,000-4,000 must be highly skilled workers, so the demand for high-quality human resources in Hai Phong in the coming time is very large.
The total number of employees at enterprises in the Industrial Park and Economic Zone of Hai Phong City is currently 180,753 people with an average income of 10.5 million VND/person/month.
The Southeast Asia Influence Alliance is a pioneer in promoting trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Chinese Taipei; supporting Chinese Taipei enterprises to expand their business activities in the Southeast Asian region, especially in the Vietnamese market. In recent times, the alliance has cooperated with the National Innovation Center (NIC) to promote the training of high-quality human resources in the semiconductor industry in Vietnam. The Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and the Southeast Asia Influence Alliance have had many previous working programs in Hai Phong City and Chinese Taipei with the participation of many Chinese Taipei investors, opening up many opportunities to attract large investments for the city.
