Visiting and working with the Shenzhen General Chamber of Commerce on August 5, Hai Phong Party Secretary Le Tien Chau shared: In recent years, with advantages in geographical location and transport infrastructure, Hai Phong has always been one of the localities with the highest growth rate in the country, maintaining double-digit growth. Hai Phong is also a bright spot in attracting FDI investment and has always maintained its position in the top of the country, becoming an attractive destination for large corporations and domestic and foreign enterprises.
Regarding investment attraction, in addition to Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone and 14 effectively operating industrial parks (IPs), Hai Phong is actively establishing 15 more IPs to be ready to attract new investors, including investors from China. “We hope to attract investors and businesses interested and with potential in fields such as electronics and high-tech products, seaport services and logistics, trade, tourism... from China in general, from Shenzhen City in particular to survey and invest in Hai Phong. Hai Phong City leaders requested Tham Viet Company to coordinate with Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board so that the Company's Consulting Center can operate well and successfully call for more Chinese investors to come to Hai Phong.

On the same day, the Hai Phong City delegation visited and worked at the China Special Economic Zone Research Center, Shenzhen University, Guangdong Province. The China Special Economic Zone Research Center is a key research institution on Science, Society and Humanities - the only academic research institution on Special Economic Zone issues.
In order to expand the space for economic development and attract investment, Hai Phong City is also researching the establishment of the 20,000-hectare Southern Hai Phong Coastal Economic Zone with projects such as Tien Lang International Airport, Nam Do Son Port, Free Trade Zone, industrial parks, industrial clusters, and new urban areas.
