On February 23, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by some businesses in Ho Chi Minh City at VND89.4 million/tael for buying and VND91.7 million/tael for selling, a sharp increase of VND1.4 million/tael compared to the end of last week. Over the past week, the market has witnessed strong fluctuations in gold prices in a continuous upward direction.
At one point, the price of gold bars reached 92.3 million VND/tael, approaching the record peak of 93.1 million VND/tael set last week.
Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also had a busy trading week. The price of gold rings listed by businesses was VND89.3 million/tael for purchase and VND91.4 million/tael for sale, an increase of VND1.2 million/tael compared to the end of last week.
Both SJC gold bar and gold ring prices increased sharply last week as world gold prices continuously set new record highs.
Gold price today on the international market closed the trading week at 2,935 USD/ounce, up more than 52 USD/ounce compared to the end of last week.
During the week, there was a time when the precious metal on the international market increased to a new record high of over 2,954 USD/ounce. This is the highest mark of gold price in history.

Despite the continuous rise, both analysts and investors predict that gold prices will continue to rise. According to Kitco's survey on gold price trends next week, of the 17 analysts participating in the survey on Wall Street, 53% of them predict that gold prices will continue to rise, 24% predict that gold prices will fall, and the rest predict that gold prices will remain stable.
Investors were more optimistic, with 204 Main Street investors responding online, with 71% saying gold prices would rise, 17% saying they would fall and the rest predicting sideways prices.
According to analysts, gold prices may head towards the $3,000/ounce mark before adjusting, as investment capital continues to choose gold as a safe haven. The USD has remained low for many weeks; the US tariff policies imposed on trade partners; the conflict in Ukraine has not yet subsided… continue to support the gold price to shine.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 90.9 million VND/tael, lower than SJC gold bars and gold rings by about 800,000 VND/tael. This is a record low difference in the past 2 years.
