Two daughters of the Chairman of Orient Bank sold 95 million shares

Two daughters of Mr. Trinh Van Tuan, Chairman of Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank, simultaneously registered to sell a large amount of shares.

On March 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) announced information about Ms. Trinh Mai Linh, daughter of Mr. Trinh Van Tuan - Chairman of Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (stock code OCB), registering to sell 50 million OCB shares for personal needs. The registration period for sale is from March 2 to April 19 through negotiated transactions or order matching through the floor.

At the same time, Ms. Trinh Mai Van, also the daughter of Mr. Trinh Van Tuan, registered to sell 45 million OCB shares with the transaction method and purpose of sale due to personal needs. In total, the two daughters of the Chairman of Orient Commercial Bank registered to sell 95 million OCB shares.

Ms. Trinh Mai Linh currently holds nearly 105.3 million OCB shares, equivalent to a 4.27% ownership ratio. If the sale is successful, Ms. Trinh Mai Linh will still hold 55.3 million OCB shares, equivalent to 2.24% of the bank's capital. Ms. Trinh Mai Van currently holds 92.36 million OCB shares, equivalent to 3.75% of the capital. If the sale is successful, Ms. Trinh Mai Van will still hold 47 million shares, equivalent to 1.92% of the charter capital of Orient Commercial Bank. The temporary closing price of OCB shares is VND11,250/share, the value of the two lots of shares above is estimated at VND1,068 billion.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Trinh Van Tuan himself owns more than 109.34 million OCB shares, equivalent to 4.43% of the bank's capital. His wife, Ms. Cao Thi Que Anh, owns more than 79.22 million OCB shares, equivalent to 3.21% of the bank's capital. In addition to the two daughters mentioned above, he has another daughter, Ms. Trinh Thi Mai Anh, who is a member of the Board of Directors at OCB and owns 72.5 million OCB shares, equivalent to 2.94% of the bank's capital.

According to the 4th Quarter 2024 Business Results Report, despite positive results in the 4th Quarter, OCB's total pre-tax profit for the whole year of 2024 decreased by 3.2% compared to 2023, reaching VND 4,006 billion, equivalent to 58.2% of the profit plan. The bank has announced that it plans to hold the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on April 22.
