The Hanoi People's Committee requested that activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day be organized in a variety of forms, ensuring solemnity, economy, efficiency, practicality, focus, and suitability to the reality of the City.
Accordingly, the City will organize a peak emulation movement to achieve achievements in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.
Organize information and propaganda about the anniversary activities; achievements in economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security of Hanoi over the past 70 years; promote the image of the capital and the country on mass media.
Organize visual propaganda, decoration, and lighting of important holidays in 2024; organize contests to learn about the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; launch and organize the Press Award Ceremony on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians in 2024; the 2024 Hanoi Open Reading Culture Ambassador Contest; publish a photo book on Hanoi on the way of development (bilingual in Vietnamese - English); organize a film week to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; and the Red River Delta Art Photography Festival.
The city organizes a Cultural Festival on Peace, national-level sports activities and expanded Hanoi; organizes the 3rd Hanoi International Youth Festival in 2024; "Youth journey to fuel tradition and contribute to the future"; the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival; Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival in 2024...
In addition, the City will organize activities to show gratitude and ensure social welfare; seminars, exhibitions and conferences; and carry out renovation, embellishment and signboarding of works.
In particular, Hanoi will organize a national ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024); award the Ho Chi Minh Medal; commend typical examples of "Good people, good deeds" and honor "Outstanding citizens of the Capital" in 2024 and organize fireworks and a light art program to celebrate on the evening of October 10.
