According to the guidance of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the entrance exam schedule for grade 10 public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year will still take place as previously planned. Specifically, at 9:00 a.m. on June 6, students will go to the exam site to study the exam regulations. The exam time for grade 10 public non-specialized high schools will take place on June 7-8; on June 9, candidates will take the entrance exam for grade 10 specialized high schools.
On April 18, schools will collect application forms for admission to grade 10 public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year; collect and check students' direct admission application files. At the same time, schools will complete issuing student codes and passwords to students.

On April 26-29, students can check the list of candidates at schools (where they study grade 9); independent students and students from other provinces can check the list at the place where they submitted their exam registration forms. Students can check all personal information, registration wishes, priority points, and incentive points; if they find any errors, they can promptly ask for support and corrections.
No later than May 15, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce the "competition" ratio of each school; no later than May 24, students will receive the Exam Notification Form.
It is expected that on July 4-7, the Department of Education and Training will announce the exam scores of candidates and the admission scores of each school.
From July 4-10, receive student appeals. From July 7-9, return Result Notification Forms to students.
The Department of Education and Training also noted that the entire city of Hanoi has 12 admission areas. Each student can register their admission wishes (NV) to a maximum of 3 public high schools, in the order of NV1, NV2 and NV3, in which NV1 and NV2 must be in the prescribed admission area, NV3 can be in any admission area. Students are not allowed to change their admission wishes after registration.
It is expected that the whole city will have about 127,000 students taking the junior high school graduation exam, of which 79,000 will be admitted to public grade 10, and 48,000 will study at private high schools, vocational education centers, and continuing education centers.
The formula for calculating the admission score (ADS) for grade 10 in Hanoi this year is as follows: ADS = Math score + Literature score + third exam/subject score + priority points (if any) + incentive points (if any).
Priority points are based on the student's priority criteria according to the Admission Regulations. In case a student has many priority criteria, he/she will only enjoy the highest priority criteria.
