Cooperation agreement contributes to improving people's lives

The cooperation agreement also aims to enhance the application of technology in many fields, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life of local people and creating new driving forces for socio-economic development in Hue city. According to the cooperation agreement signed between the Hue City Development Research Institute and Grab Company Limited, within the three-year cooperation framework, the two sides will focus on key areas such as: Supporting micro, small and medium enterprises in applying information technology and digital transformation; promoting digital transformation in the transportation sector; promoting digital transformation in the tourism sector, taking advantage of technological strengths to promote Hue's heritage, culture and cuisine; enhancing digital skills for business households, small traders and local people.

In order to promote the development of Hue’s digital economy, the two sides will implement programs to disseminate digital knowledge, improve digital skills and foreign languages ​​for Grab’s partners in particular and for local people in general, especially children, students and those working in the service and e-commerce sectors of Hue. In addition to the above main areas, Hue City and Grab Vietnam will also coordinate to implement a number of other activities to contribute to the local green and sustainable development goals.

To mark this meaningful cooperation, Hue City and Grab Vietnam will coordinate to implement many special welcoming activities. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh affirmed that digital transformation is identified as one of the top priorities of Hue City, including developing digital infrastructure, applying technology to urban management and meeting the increasing needs of people in the fields of information, entertainment and services. "After signing, the units will coordinate, facilitate and enhance cooperation between the parties; fully and effectively implement the areas in which the agreement has been signed," Mr. Minh suggested.
