In infinite grief, on the afternoon of November 18, family, friends, comrades, teammates, and neighbors sent off Captain Tran Trung Hieu, a police officer of Xuan Hong commune (Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh province), who died while on duty, to his final resting place.
At the funeral, hundreds of officers, soldiers, friends, relatives and people respectfully bowed to express their condolences for the brave actions and noble sacrifice of Captain Tran Trung Hieu, as well as his efforts during his years working in the police force.
Immediately after the memorial service, the funeral procession carried Captain Tran Trung Hieu's coffin from his parents' house in Thanh Chuong residential group, Tien Dien town, Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh province) to be buried at A Bach Cemetery, Tien Dien town, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province.

Captain Tran Trung Hieu was born and raised in a farming family in Tien Dien town, Nghi Xuan district. Since childhood, Hieu dreamed of wearing the uniform of the People's Public Security force to maintain peace in life. Hieu tried hard to study and took the entrance exam to the Security College. After graduating, comrade Hieu was assigned to work at the Criminal Police Team of Nghi Xuan District Police. During his time working here, comrade Hieu and his teammates effectively fought against all kinds of crimes, contributing to maintaining peace and happiness for the people.

In 2017, Comrade Hieu passed the entrance exam to the Criminal Investigation major of the People's Police Academy under the work-study program. In July 2018, implementing the major policy of mobilizing regular police to take up the positions of commune police, Comrade Hieu volunteered to go to the grassroots level and was mobilized to work at Xuan Hong Commune Police.
Comrade Hieu is one of the first three regular officers of Xuan Hong Commune Police. Xuan Hong Commune is also the first locality in Nghi Xuan District to assign regular police officers to take on the position of commune police.

During the past 5 years, together with his comrades in Xuan Hong Commune Police, comrade Hieu has overcome daily difficulties, stayed close to the area, worked closely with the people, advised and implemented many solutions to ensure security and order in the area, and was loved by the people and trusted by his comrades.
Comrade Hieu's situation is very difficult, he does not have his own house. For a long time, Comrade Hieu, his wife and two young children have been living at his wife's parents' house in village 3, Xuan Linh commune, Nghi Xuan district. The eldest child is 3 years old, in poor health, often sick due to being born prematurely; the youngest child is only 10 months old.
