On October 9, in Ho Chi Minh City, a national scientific conference on sustainable agriculture for food security and food safety took place. The event was organized by Nguyen Tat Thanh University in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology, Tien Giang University, and Can Tho University.
There were 150 reports submitted to the workshop focusing on climate change and environment, utilization of by-product resources and development of new raw materials, green science and technology for preservation and processing of agricultural and food products, food and health, development of new products and models.
In the field of aquaculture, the group of authors from Nguyen Tat Thanh University has researched Biofloc technology - an advanced solution to help improve pond water quality, increase feed efficiency and reduce diseases in livestock.

Climate change and increasing pressure on food security, sustainable agricultural development is becoming an urgent requirement for Vietnam, especially in the Mekong Delta region. Integrating advanced technology, building sustainable value chains and adapting to environmental challenges requires a comprehensive and multi-dimensional approach.
