According to Reuters, in early September, SpaceX boss - billionaire Elon Musk - posted a status saying that Starlink could provide more than 90% of Internet traffic from space by 2025.

Incredible production speed

In May, Starlink announced that it had connected more than 3 million customers in 100 countries, territories and markets, and that number continues to grow.

Starlink currently dominates the number of satellites in orbit, with about 7,000 launched since 2018. That number is expected to increase in the near future, especially as Starlink rolls out services like direct connectivity to mobile phones for T-Mobile users in the US.

Not only focusing on launching satellites, SpaceX is also stepping up production of Starlink Standard Kits at its factory in Bastrop, Texas (USA).

The standard Starlink kit designed by SpaceX includes a signal transmitting and receiving antenna to connect to the Starlink satellite network, a WiFi router, cables, and a bracket for the antenna. Information posted on Starlink's official X account on September 10 said that the factory in Bastrop has produced 1 million standard Starlink kits in just the past 10 months.

"Just 10 months after opening the factory in Bastrop, Texas, the Starlink team here has produced 1 million standard Starlink kits! The team is ramping up production to meet the growing demand for high-speed Internet around the world" - Starlink announced on X, posting a photo of the Starlink team posing with the factory's 1 millionth product kit.

Tesla Rati notes that this is a significant milestone for Starlink, especially since the Bastrop factory has been operational for less than a year. The ramp-up in production reflects the growing demand for Starlink satellite internet, as they noted in a post on the X platform.

SpaceX will likely need to further ramp up production of standard Starlink kits as the satellite internet system is deployed to more markets around the world.

I am passionate about bringing connectivity to places with poor connectivity. If you have access to the Internet, you can learn anything.

Starlink Reaches Southeast Asia

In Southeast Asia, Starlink is already present in Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. In May, billionaire Elon Musk personally traveled to Bali to launch the Starlink satellite internet service in Indonesia, as the archipelago nation seeks to boost internet connectivity in remote areas, according to CNBC.

Starlink is also looking to provide satellite internet services to Vietnam. On September 6, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Tim Hughes, SpaceX's senior vice president of government relations and global business, on a working visit to Vietnam.

SpaceX's senior leaders affirmed that the corporation is ready to prepare and wants to invest and provide Starlink satellite Internet services in Vietnam, including providing Starlink services in the fields of education - training and disaster prevention.

Mr. Tim Hughes also suggested that Vietnam prepare infrastructure and other necessary conditions for the project to be highly effective, contributing to Vietnam's Internet coverage to 100% of the population.

Welcoming SpaceX’s interest and appreciating its ideas and investment cooperation proposals in Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hoped that the group’s proposals would soon become reality. The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam has sufficient infrastructure conditions and policy mechanisms for businesses in general, including SpaceX, to invest and do business effectively in Vietnam.

The Prime Minister also asked SpaceX to coordinate with relevant ministries, branches and agencies of Vietnam to implement cooperation projects, ensure compliance with legal regulations and ensure information network security.

Sharing with Space News in May, market research firm Quilty Space expressed its impression of Starlink's achievements over the past three years, and predicted that Starlink's revenue would increase from $1.4 billion in 2022 to $6.6 billion in 2024.

Bring WiFi on board

Starlink Aviation's in-flight internet service also confidently claims to provide passengers with "high-speed, low-latency" internet connections during flights. "Passengers will no longer have to miss their favorite football match while flying," commented Simple Flying.

Several airlines, including Qatar Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, Air New Zealand, JSX, and more, have announced their desire or plans to integrate Starlink on their flights.

In February, Hawaiian Airlines became the first major US airline to integrate Starlink into its free WiFi service on commercial flights, meaning Starlink is officially operational in the commercial aviation industry, according to CBS News.
