(NLDO) – Vietnamese fans can book a package tour to watch the Vietnamese team play the final match in Thailand for prices starting at 13.99 million VND/person.
On the afternoon of December 31, Vietravel Tourism Company announced that it had just opened a charter flight to the Land of Golden Pagodas so that football fans could immerse themselves in the enthusiastic atmosphere of the ASEAN Cup 2024. The Vietnamese football team will meet the Thai football team in the final match.
Accordingly, in the 2024 ASEAN Cup final, the two teams will compete in a home-and-away format like the semi-finals. The first leg of the final will take place at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025 at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho. Meanwhile, the second leg will take place at 8:00 p.m. on January 5 in Bangkok (Thailand).
Ms. Huynh Phan Phuong Hoang, Deputy General Director of Vietravel Company, said that she has organized a package tour for tourists who are fans to travel to Thailand and cheer for the Vietnamese team. The tour will depart from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang. The price of a 2-day, 1-night tour to Thailand, departing on January 5, is from 13.99 million VND/person. The price of a 3-day, 2-night tour to Thailand, departing on January 4 and 5, is from 14.99 million VND/person.
Meanwhile, right after the news that the Vietnamese football team beat Singapore in the semi-finals and won a spot in the finals, airfares from Vietnam to Thailand also "heated up".
On the same afternoon, according to a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, airfares during the men's football final between Vietnam and Thailand skyrocketed compared to before. Airlines such as Thai AirAsia, Cathay Pacific, Vietravel Airlines... all have tickets for the Hanoi - Bangkok route departing on January 4 and returning on January 6, but the lowest fare is from 3-4 million VND/trip (including taxes and fees). In total, the round-trip fare is up to 7-8 million VND/passenger.
Vietjet and Vietnam Airlines also sell tickets for the Hanoi - Bangkok route with a sharp increase of about 14 million VND/round trip.
Meanwhile, just a few days after this time, airline ticket prices dropped sharply again.
Vietnam Airlines currently operates three flights from Hanoi to Bangkok and four flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok every day. In the next few days, the airline said it will monitor fan demand to increase flights or switch to wide-body aircraft to increase transport efficiency.
This weekend (January 4 and 5), the airline will serve the needs of fans as well as transport the Vietnamese team to Thailand using wide-body Boeing 787 or Airbus A350 aircraft to replace the narrow-body A321 aircraft. This solution aims to increase the transport efficiency per flight by nearly 3 times compared to narrow-body aircraft.
