FUNiX has recently officially launched the GenAI Hackathon award in an online format to encourage participants to be creative and find technological solutions to apply GenAI in work and study.
The topic of the contest is to apply GenAI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Band, Chat Sonic,... to build solutions and products to solve problems related to education to support students in the learning process or schools and centers to better perform management and teaching tasks.
GenAI Hackathon takes place online, including 3 rounds: Ideation, Product Development and Final.
In the first round, teams register and send their product ideas to the organizers. The 10 teams selected for the Product Development round will have one week to complete their products, with the support of technology experts at FUNiX as mentors.
The semi-finals took place on the evening of July 3, with teams presenting their projects to the judges, who selected the six teams with the best performances to advance to the finals. In the finals on July 7, the teams will compete and solve advanced challenges to find the champion.
Participating projects will be evaluated based on the level of GenAI application in the solution as well as the product building process, the ability to implement the judges' advanced requirements, the level of completion, creativity, user experience, social impact as well as the team's presentation ability.
One of the highlights of GenAI Hackathon is that the entire event and information about the competition will be deployed on the Metaverse technology platform sponsored by DTS Group, bringing a vivid virtual reality experience to contestants as well as interested audiences.
According to Mr. Truong Gia Bao, Chairman of DTS Group, this not only contributes to affirming the great potential of Metaverse in many fields, but also motivates young people to pursue and develop new technology.
In addition, GenAI Hackathon is accompanied by 10 technology companies as sponsors and professional consultants. Ms. Bui Hai Ly, Head of FUNiX Student Community Development Department, said: "This is also a playground for students to unleash their creativity and apply AI tools to solve problems that exist in the educational and learning environment that they are experiencing."
The contest is open to students who are currently studying at FUNiX, as well as students from universities in Vietnam and abroad. Participants register in teams of 3 to 5 people. Entries can be submitted in Vietnamese or English.
The prize structure includes one first prize worth 20 million VND; one second prize worth 10 million VND; one third prize worth 7 million VND and three consolation prizes. Each prize is given any course at FUNiX equivalent to 10 million VND. The teams in the top 10 and top 5 semi-finals will also receive prizes worth 500,000 and 1 million VND.
