Meeting with the head of the incense, the temple staff, and the permanent staff at the relics of the Spring of Giap Thin in 2024

– On the morning of February 23, at the Cultural House of Block 6, Tam Thanh Ward, Lang Son City People's Committee organized a meeting with the head of the incense burner, temple staff, and permanent staff at relics in the city on the occasion of the Spring of Giap Thin 2024. This is the third year that Lang Son City People's Committee has organized this early spring meeting program.

Attending the meeting were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Home Affairs, Provincial Cultural Heritage Association; City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and incense keepers and temple keepers at relics in the area.

Currently, Lang Son city has 28 relics, of which 13 are ranked at national level, 9 are ranked at provincial level, 6 are listed in the province's inventory. In recent times, the head of the incense, the temple's bronze monks and the members of the permanent committee of the relics have played the role of cultural cores in the heritage sector to preserve and promote the value of the relics.

During the program, delegates listened to representatives of the City People's Committee inform about the socio-economic situation in 2023, tasks and orientations for 2024; propaganda work to implement civilized lifestyle in festivals in the area and orientation for tourism development, especially spiritual tourism through cultural activities and festivals to attract tourists to Lang Son city.

Here, the delegates shared about the advantages, difficulties, as well as experiences in the work of preserving and promoting the value of relics. At the same time, they expressed their hope that the City People's Committee would pay attention and create favorable conditions for the restoration and promotion of the value of worthy relics.

The representative of the City People's Committee has received the opinions and highly appreciated the role of the head of the incense burner, the temple guards, the permanent staff of the temples and communal houses in the work of preserving and promoting the value of the relics. At the same time, he hoped that the head of the incense burner, the temple guards, the permanent staff of the relic sites would join hands with the city government to continue to promote the role of preserving and conserving the value of the relics, and to promote civilized practices in festivals, so that each relic and each festival will create a good impression in the hearts of the people and tourists when they come to Lang Son to visit and worship. Thereby, contributing to the tourism development target in 2024 and the following years of Lang Son city.
