Accordingly, a source from Sammobile has just revealed information that the Galaxy S25 Ultra has just been approved by China's 3C agency.
The China Quality Certification Center has certified the Samsung device with the model number SM-S9380. Currently, the model number of the S24 Ultra is SM-S9280, so analysts believe that the SM-S9380 could be the S25 Ultra.
According to the certification, the S25 Ultra is a “satellite mobile terminal”. This term suggests that Samsung’s new flagship will feature the same satellite connectivity found on the iPhone, allowing users to connect to emergency services even from areas without a network. If the rumors are true, this will be the first smartphone to feature satellite connectivity.
The source also revealed that the S24 Ultra successor will support 45W wired fast charging similar to its predecessors.
Recently, leaker Digital Chat Station has just posted a render image of the Samsung S25 Ultra. Accordingly, the device has a completely flat design - this is a major change in design when the upcoming Galaxy flagship can look similar to recent Meizu devices with flat edges and slightly more rounded corners than the S24 Ultra.
It has been revealed that the S25 Ultra will use a quad-camera system on the back. The cameras include a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom. Both telephoto cameras will have PDAF and OIS. The phone is also said to use a new version of the 1/2.76-inch JN1 sensor for the ultra-wide camera, with a resolution of 50MP.
It is known that the product may launch exclusively with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. However, there are sources saying that Samsung may launch two versions, one using Exynos 2500.
In addition, Samsung will also keep the battery capacity of the Galaxy S model at 5,000 mAh for the S25 Ultra and is expected to be pre-installed with the OneUI 7 user interface based on the Android 15 operating system upon launch.
