DNVN - At the Meetings Show Asia Pacific 2024 held in Singapore, Da Nang MICE tourism attracted special attention and was highly appreciated by international investors and partners.
On April 17-18, Ariyana Danang International Convention Palace promoted the potential of MICE tourism (tourism combined with conferences and seminars) of Danang at the Asia-Pacific Conference Exhibition - The Meetings Show Asia Pacific 2024 held at the Sands Exhibition Convention Center (Marina Bay Sands, Singapore).
Mr. Prabhakar Singh (middle) welcomed partners to visit the exhibition area of Ariyana Danang International Convention Palace at the Asia-Pacific Convention Exhibition 2024.
He said that the global MICE industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.2% from 2023 to 2032, reaching over US$1,700 billion by 2032 (according to a report by Precedence Research published in 2023). In the Asia-Pacific region, the MICE industry is expected to expand at a higher CAGR of 7.4% over the same period, accounting for nearly half of the global market share by 2032.
In 2023, Da Nang City welcomed 163 MICE tourist groups with a total of 45,344 visitors; and in the first 3 months of 2024, it welcomed 25 MICE groups with about 9,510 visitors. MICE tourists from many markets such as Australia, India, Thailand, Russia, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan (China), Singapore and many other countries have chosen Da Nang as the location to hold their events.
Nearly 700 guests of Employment Hero Group (Australia) attended the global networking event "Global Gathering 2023" at Ariyana International Convention Palace, Da Nang.
“At the exhibition, Da Nang’s increasingly important role in the MICE industry attracted attention and was highly appreciated by international investors and partners. The special attention paid to Da Nang MICE tourism at this event is clear evidence of the city’s potential and the effectiveness of the strategies we have implemented to promote Da Nang’s MICE capabilities to the world,” said Mr. Prabhakar Singh.
At The Meetings Show Asia Pacific 2024, Ariyana Convention Centre Danang - the host of the 2017 APEC Summit and co-founder of the Asia Venue Alliance (AVA) - showcased its state-of-the-art facilities, innovative event solutions and commitment to sustainable business practices. These activities are designed to meet the increasing demands of modern international events.
In addition, Ariyana International Convention Center also participated and brought the voice of Da Nang, Vietnam to expert seminars and discussions on industry trends such as sustainable development, technology integration, and human resource development. This becomes even more important when the MICE industry is aiming for recovery and development after the pandemic, focusing on resilience and adaptation.
