Energizing the 500kV line circuit 3, section Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa

(PLVN) - At 11:10 a.m. on August 19, 2024, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), the Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB) coordinated with relevant units to energize the 500kV transmission line project, circuit 3, Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa section, to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister.

As one of the sections of the 500kV line project, circuit 3, from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen), the 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa line project is 92km long, passing through Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces, including 200 foundation locations, with 99 corridor anchorages.

The project was implemented from January 18, 2024 and was approved by the Investor's Acceptance Council to be energized on the morning of August 19, 2024.

Once put into use, the line will help improve transmission capacity on the North-Central interface, combined with the 500kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu, Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh I, Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi lines, contributing to supplementing capacity from power sources in the North Central region to the load center in the Northern region.

The 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa transmission line project was completed and energized on August 19, 2024, meeting the Prime Minister's directive target.

According to EVNNPT Deputy General Director Truong Huu Thanh, the project implementation process has always received the attention and direction of the Prime Minister, ministries, branches, and leaders of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN). Along with that is the support of authorities at all levels where the project passes through; the consensus and joint efforts of the people who have given up land for the project, and participated in supporting the construction of the foundation excavation phase.

According to EVNNPT leaders, in order to meet the progress requirements directed by the Prime Minister, in a short period of time, many work items were simultaneously implemented such as construction and installation, pole erection, wire pulling, positioning frame installation, and technical calibration. Therefore, in addition to the main force of EVNNPT units and construction and installation contractors, EVN mobilized 5 Power Corporations to participate in the construction support with a large number of qualified, experienced, and skilled workers.

With the importance of the project, not only for EVNNPT, EVN's Power Corporations and other units have shown high spirit and responsibility by participating in enthusiastic support, making efforts, not afraid of difficulties and hardships.

In particular, EVN/EVNNPT also received construction human resource support from Military Region 3, Military Region 4, Viettel Group, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, etc. to participate in supporting the construction of poles and pulling wires for the projects.

The completion and energization of the 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa transmission line project, meeting the Prime Minister's direction, is a great motivation for the entire construction site of the 500kV transmission line project, circuit 3, to complete acceptance and inauguration in the coming days according to the Prime Minister's direction.
