A 28-year-old man has captured many peaceful, breathtakingly beautiful sunrise and sunset moments of the coastal city of Vung Tau.
At 5am, carrying a camera, Pham Tuan Thanh (28 years old) drove his motorbike along the quiet roads of Vung Tau city (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) to Bai Sau, where Hon Ba can be seen. This is a familiar and ideal sunrise hunting spot for the photography enthusiast. "Since 2020, I have become 'addicted' to watching the sunrise and sunset of Vung Tau. In the dry season (from November to April), the sunrise usually appears from 4:30 to 5:00. The sunrise at this time is very beautiful. In the rainy season (the remaining months), the sunrise comes later, around 5:30 to 6:00," Thanh shared. "Sometimes, I want to stand at a very high, open angle to admire and capture the vast space, capturing the entire yellow seascape in the frame. But sometimes I 'hide', observe and record images of people on the beach, tourists walking, hot tofu stalls of local people...".

Dawn breaks at Back Beach. When the water recedes, people bring out hot tofu to sell.

Vung Tau is a coastal city that attracts a lot of tourists, thanks to its beautiful scenery and convenient location, only 100km from Ho Chi Minh City. In the eyes of many tourists, this is a crowded, bustling city, even "bustling" during holidays and Tet. "I want through the images I capture, tourists can see a peaceful, gentle Vung Tau, with its own beauty in each season, each corner", Thanh shared.Peaceful mornings of the coastal city
Each Vung Tau resident enjoys the city's beauty in their own way.
Tuan Thanh is from Quang Ninh but has studied and worked in Vung Tau for 10 years. He currently works in the tourism industry. "When I moved to Vung Tau, I was quite sad because I had few friends. I chose to go to the mountains, to the sea, to wander around and admire the nature and people of the city. Vung Tau is very special because it has a place to watch the sunrise and also a place to watch the entire sunset. Over time, I have lived here and understood the weather, from which I have experience in choosing the location and time to see the scenery and take effective photos," Thanh shared.Early in the morning, people in the coastal city walk, cycle, and breathe fresh air. The area in the picture is Con Rong slope, on Ha Long road.

According to Thanh, tourists who want to watch the sunrise or sunset in Vung Tau should follow the weather forecast. The best spots to watch the sunrise are Bai Sau beach in Thuy Van area, Nghinh Phong cape, and Con Heo hill. For sunset, tourists should go to Bai Truoc, Bai Dau, Tran Phu street, and the lighthouse on top of Nho mountain to capture the sunset.Photo: Pham Tuan Thanh - Vietnamnet.vn
