The Minister also stated that Vietnam is transforming its growth model from one based on capital and labor to one based on science, technology and innovation. This is a long-term goal that requires the participation and joint efforts of ministries, sectors, localities, enterprises and the whole society in applying and developing science, technology and innovation.

The Minister hopes to continue to receive close guidance from the Party, Government, National Assembly and support and cooperation from ministries, branches, localities, research institutes, universities, enterprises and the whole society so that scientific research, technology development and innovation activities can make increasingly practical contributions to Vietnam's socio-economic development tasks.

Ms. Paluline Tamesis, United Nations Representative in Viet Nam, said that the power of innovation has the potential to advance the sustainable development goals. In the remaining goals as well as in the coming years, we need to promote implementation to achieve the goals and in the process, innovation inspires action as well as green technologies - technologies that can reduce carbon emissions as well as enhance environmental sustainability, helping to improve lives.
