At Vung Chua - Yen Island, the delegation respectfully laid wreaths, offered incense, and observed a moment of silence to commemorate the contributions of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the legendary general, military genius, excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, the eldest brother of the Vietnam People's Army, who made particularly great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people, and who directly commanded the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory "famous in five continents, shaking the world". In front of General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb, the delegation vowed to build Dien Bien province to develop rapidly and sustainably.
