Tan Hiep Prison, also known as "Correctional Training Center" or "Reformation Center", located on National Highway 1, Tan Tien Ward, Bien Hoa (Dong Nai), is one of the six largest prisons in Southern Vietnam and the largest prison in the Southeast, built in an important military position, guarding the Northeast of Bien Hoa.
In front is National Highway 1; behind is the North-South railway. This is an isolated location, convenient for traffic, easy for protection, guarding, receiving prisoners from other places and transferring prisoners to Con Dao, Phu Quoc. This is a "battlefield without boundaries" where revolutionary soldiers without weapons, without a piece of iron in their hands, every day, every hour have to confront, fight fiercely under the brutal hands of the enemy with countless examples of bravery, indomitability, steadfastness, maintaining integrity, keeping faith in the Party, loyal to the Fatherland even though the enemy tortures and imprisons them to death.
The relic is a typical evidence of the crimes of two wars of aggression by French colonialists and American imperialists and their puppet governments against the Vietnamese people.

Visiting Tan Hiep Prison Historical Relic, everyone is probably moved by the great losses and sacrifices beyond human imagination and endurance. Each artifact preserved and displayed is not only a fate, a testament to the crimes of colonialism and imperialism, but also echoes the heroic history of the struggle in prison, shining humanism and revolutionary heroism of Vietnam. Tan Hiep Prison has been ranked as a national historical relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information under Decision No. 2754/QD-BT dated October 15, 1994, and is a source tourism destination for the younger generation to visit and learn about history. In 2024, the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam" will continue to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over. The contest aims to honor individuals and groups with positive information products, making practical contributions to the propaganda and promotion of a beautiful image of Vietnam to the world. Thereby helping people in the country, compatriots abroad and international friends access authentic images of the country, Vietnamese people, Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights, towards a happy Vietnam.
