On the evening of March 11, at 10/3 Square, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, the Farmers' Competition with the theme "Smart Coffee Cultivation" took place in a dramatic and attractive manner, attracting the attention of many people and tourists.

The 2025 Farmers' Competition is part of the main activities of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025.

With the desire to create a useful playground, spreading scientific and technical knowledge about smart coffee cultivation adapting to climate change, the competition attracted the participation of 7 teams from key coffee growing provinces across the country, including: Son La, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Dak Lak and Binh Phuoc.

After the arduous and challenging journey of "Road to the 2025 Farmers' Competition", the 4 best teams entered the final night, including: Dak Lak (host team), Son La, Binh Phuoc and Kon Tum.
At the final night, the teams went through 4 exciting competitions: Hello Farmer, Smart Farmer, Linked Farmer, and Challenged Farmer. The competitions not only required extensive knowledge of coffee cultivation techniques but also required quickness, ingenuity and flexible improvisation from the teams.
The final night of the 2025 Farmers' Competition attracted a large number of people and tourists to watch and cheer.
The highlight of this year's competition is the emphasis on the concept of "smart coffee farming". The organizers want to convey the message that "smart" is not only about using modern equipment but also about putting farmers at the center, unleashing their potential and creativity.
"No one understands their land better than themselves", that is the affirmation of the organizing committee, to encourage farmers to proactively learn and apply scientific and technical knowledge into production practices, thereby improving the efficiency and sustainability of the coffee industry.

Speaking at the contest, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that with the theme "Smart Coffee Cultivation", the contest is a useful playground for farmers to improve their knowledge and skills in applying science and technology to sustainable coffee production. The contest also contributes to promoting production linkages, digital transformation of agriculture, and enhancing the brand of Vietnamese coffee.
Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the "Farmers' Competition" is a useful playground for farmers to improve their knowledge and skills in applying science and technology to sustainable coffee production.
The 2025 Farmers' Competition is not only an entertainment playground but also a practical activity, contributing to raising awareness and skills for farmers, promoting the application of science and technology in coffee production, and spreading useful knowledge about sustainable coffee cultivation and adaptation to climate change.
This is also an opportunity for farmers in the Central Highlands and Son La provinces, localities participating in the project "Smart coffee farming adapting to climate change", to review and consolidate the knowledge they have learned and practiced in the past time.
The Organizing Committee of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025 presented 7 gifts (each worth 200 million VND) to the participating units of the Farmers' Competition to support the construction of houses for coffee-growing households in difficult circumstances.
Through 4 exciting, humorous and also intellectual performances of farmers from the teams in the final night. The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Dak Lak province team; the second prize to Son La province; the third prize to Kon Tum and Binh Phuoc provinces; 3 consolation prizes to the Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Lam Dong teams; 1 most impressive "Hello Farmers" sub-prize to the Dak Lak team.
In addition, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company presented a special prize of a smart coffee farming solution package to the 4 units that entered the final round of the competition, with a total value of 400 million VND.
