The English exam for grade 10 in Hanoi consists of 40 multiple choice questions, mixed into 24 exam codes, and candidates have 60 minutes to complete.
Last year, English had the most candidates scoring 10 points in the 10th grade exam in Hanoi. Out of 107,000 candidates, more than 3,360 (3%) achieved the maximum score.

The entrance exam for grade 10 public schools in Hanoi will take place over two days, June 10-11. After completing the Literature and English exams today, candidates will take the Math exam tomorrow morning.
To be considered for admission, candidates must complete all exams, not violate regulations, and not have a score of 0 in any exam. The admission score for non-specialized high schools is the sum of Literature and Math scores multiplied by two, plus Foreign Language and priority scores.
Students who register for specialized schools will take an additional specialized subject test on June 12. The admission score for specialized 10th grade is the sum of the scores of the three exams in Math, Literature, Foreign Language and the specialized subject score multiplied by a factor of two.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, 594 candidates were absent from the exam this morning. Two candidates violated exam regulations, one of whom brought documents and the other brought a phone into the exam room.
Hanoi's public 10th grade benchmark scores were announced on July 8-9, and candidates confirmed their enrollment online or in person. From July 18, schools that do not meet their enrollment quotas will begin additional enrollment.
