On August 21, the leader of the Khanh Hoa Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that it is conducting a bidding process to select a contractor to implement the Nguyen Tat Thanh road project through Cam Ranh airport.
The decision was made by Khanh Hoa province when the existing road, built more than 50 years ago, was degraded. The road surface is 8m wide, not meeting the travel needs of residents and tourists.
The project is being carried out on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, passing through Cam Ranh Airport to Long Ho Bridge, Cam Nghia Ward (Cam Ranh City), over 3km long. This section has a 16m wide road surface, an 8m wide median strip, and 12m wide sidewalks on both sides. The total investment is nearly 100 billion VND.
According to the Khanh Hoa Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project is expected to start construction in September this year and be completed in February 2025.
When put into operation, the route is expected to gradually complete the traffic infrastructure according to the plan, meeting the needs of travel and freight transport. The project contributes to promoting the economic and social development of the locality as well as tourism of Cam Ranh City and surrounding areas.
