(Fatherland) - More than 530 Polish tourists arrived in Khanh Hoa on the first flight from Europe in the year of the Snake, marking a positive signal for the tourism industry of the land of Agarwood.
At around 12:00 on January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year 2025), more than 530 Polish tourists on SkyUp Airlines flight U52297 landed at Cam Ranh International Airport. This was the first flight bringing tourists from Europe to Khanh Hoa on the occasion of Lunar New Year.
Immediately after landing, the plane was greeted with a water cannon salute. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu and representatives of several departments, branches, localities and tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa province presented flowers, gifts and lucky money envelopes to the passengers on the flight.

The event was short, but left many unforgettable memories for visitors in a joyful and vibrant atmosphere. According to the plan, the tourist group will stay for 10 days at resorts in Nha Trang City and Bai Dai area (Cam Lam district). Europe, including Poland, is considered a potential tourist market for Khanh Hoa province, having sent over 181,000 visitors by 2024 (out of a total of over 4.7 million international visitors). Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited is currently actively exploiting the international market from Poland to Khanh Hoa with a frequency of 3 flights/month; each flight carries over 500 visitors.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism, said that through the event of welcoming the first flight from Europe to the locality on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the tourism industry wants to send a message that Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is always a friendly and hospitable destination and in the near future there will be more tourist markets in Europe.
By 2025, Khanh Hoa tourism industry strives to welcome 11.8 million tourists, including 6.6 million domestic visitors and 5.2 million international visitors, with tourism revenue reaching 60,000 billion VND./.
In 2024, the total number of visitors to Khanh Hoa is estimated to reach more than 10.8 million, an increase of 49.03% over the same period, exceeding the plan by 20.6%. Of which, international visitors are estimated to reach more than 4.7 million, an increase of 98.76% over the same period, exceeding the plan by 58.9%; domestic visitors are estimated to reach nearly 6.1 million, an increase of 24.62% over the same period, exceeding the plan by 1.5%.
Total tourism revenue is estimated at more than 53 trillion VND, up 56.47% over the same period, exceeding the plan by 32.5%.
