According to Ms. Huong, the incident took place in 2018. Some Long Chau commune officials went to a pagoda in Hanoi and stopped at an acquaintance’s house to wait for a bus to pick them up. While waiting for the bus, some Long Chau commune officials played cards together to get money to buy fruit and have breakfast for the whole group.

After disciplining the Party, the Yen Phong District Party Committee's Inspection Commission also requested the Yen Phong District People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front to consider administrative handling according to regulations.

According to Ms. Huong, the police are continuing to investigate the person who posted the above photos and clips on social media.

Previously, on February 9, images and clips appeared on social networks showing some commune officials playing cards for money.

On February 10, the Standing Committee of Yen Phong District Party Committee held a meeting and requested the Long Chau Commune Party Committee to report and explain. At the same time, the district police were assigned to investigate and verify the incident.
