The appearance of frost in Ta Xua in March surprised many people, attracting the attention of tourists and locals alike.
On the morning of March 19th, frost appeared in Ta Xua (Ban Cong commune, Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province), a rare phenomenon at this time of year.
According to Mr. Dao Viet Nghiem, Chairman of Ban Cong commune, frost still occurs in Ta Xua every year, mainly during the winter months (December and January) or at most in February.
This is the first time locals have witnessed ice forming in March. The frost blanketed many trees in the area.

Previously, the last time frost appeared in Ta Xua (Yen Bai) was during the cold spell on January 11th.
Frost forms when ground temperatures drop to 0 degrees Celsius, while the air remains above freezing.
Water vapor in the layer of air near the ground condenses and crystallizes into tiny ice particles, clinging to trees and the ground, creating a white landscape.
This phenomenon usually occurs from midnight to dawn, lasting from 7-9 am before dissipating in the sunlight.
Ta Xua, with an altitude of over 2,800m, is not only famous for its cloud-hunting scenery but also as one of the areas that experiences frost in winter.
