Ensuring absolute safety for the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory

On the morning of March 15, 2024, the Security and Order Subcommittee of the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and a number of major conferences and events in 2024 of the Ministry of Public Security held a meeting to deploy security and order work. At the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Thi Phuong, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, announced the Decision to establish the Security and Order Subcommittee for the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and the Decision to establish the Subcommittee's Working Group; reported on the situation and results of ensuring security and order for the anniversary and a number of conferences and events in 2024, as well as key directions and tasks in the coming time.

Under the direction of Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang, delegates attending the meeting focused on discussing and assessing the situation, agreeing on key contents as well as proposing solutions, options and plans to contribute to ensuring absolute security and order for the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and major conferences and events in 2024.

Colonel Nguyen Thi Phuong, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security, announced the Decision to establish the Security and Order Subcommittee for the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory .

Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Chairman of the People's Council of Dien Bien province, also informed about the plan, preparation work and recommendations and proposals of Dien Bien province to the Ministry of Public Security to ensure security and order for the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory as well as related events taking place in the province.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that in the coming time, there will be 3 important events of the country taking place in Dien Bien and Da Nang. The police of all units and localities must be unified in their perception of the highest goal, which is to ensure absolute security and safety for the above events and conferences to be successful; and not to let any sudden or unexpected incidents occur. According to Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang, this is an important political task of the entire Public Security force in the first 6 months of the year, as the Minister has emphasized.

Sticking to the viewpoint and spirit of direction with high determination, great efforts, and drastic actions, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requested the Public Security of units and localities to absolutely not be subjective or lose vigilance; to be proactive in grasping the situation, solving all issues related to security and order, right from the grassroots level...

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang also assigned specific tasks to each police unit and locality according to their assigned functions and tasks; at the same time, he requested the People's Committees of Dien Bien province and Da Nang city, departments, ministries and branches to continue reviewing policies, strategies and related contents, closely coordinating with the Ministry of Public Security to absolutely ensure security and order for major events taking place in the locality and the whole country.
