The Ministry of Public Security has just issued a notice about the organization "Boat People SOS" (Boat People SOS), abbreviated as BPSOS, which has been engaging in activities related to terrorism.
This organization was founded in 1990 in the US, led by Nguyen Dinh Thang (67 years old, born in Ho Chi Minh City, hometown Nghe An; currently living in the US), who holds the role of Executive Director.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the BPSOS organization operates under the name of "refugee relief" but in fact takes advantage of this activity to connect with and assist organizations and individuals involved in anti-Vietnam activities, including a group of people participating in the organization "Montagnards for Justice - MSFJ" that caused the terrorist attack in Dak Lak on June 11, 2023.
As the leader, Nguyen Dinh Thang directly participated in and directed members of the organization to carry out many activities related to the terrorist organization MSFJ.

Specifically, Thang directed the support of subjects in his organization to support the establishment of MSFJ in July 2019 in Thailand and operate in the US in April 2024, and at the same time supported MSFJ to register a legal entity in the US.
To support MSFJ's activities, Thang directly guided, supported funding, facilities, and paid salaries for MSFJ members to conduct activities against our country, including terrorist activities in Dak Lak.
After the MSFJ group was wanted, including Y Quynh Bdap, Thang still supported money and arranged a place for Y Quynh Bdap to hide in Thailand.

Y Quynh Bdap was arrested and brought to trial, but Thang still actively sought to protect him, preventing the Thai Court from deporting him back to Vietnam. At the same time, he raised funds to sponsor a Thai lawyer to defend Y Quynh Bdap at the trial and participated in mobilizing international organizations to support MSFJ's activities.
