Speaking with VietNamNet this morning, a leader of the Hue City Department of Transport confirmed that the unit had just issued a notice regarding the aforementioned activity.

According to this leader, the temporary suspension of driver's license examinations and the acceptance of related documents is being implemented in accordance with new policies aimed at strengthening state management in the field of road transport.

In particular, the decisions were made to prepare for the transfer of the responsibility for driver's license testing and issuance/renewal from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Public Security .

The transfer of driver's license examination and issuance management from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Public Security is expected to contribute to improving management quality, ensuring transparency and efficiency in driver's license issuance.

During the transition period, citizens can still carry out the procedure for renewing their driver's licenses (if the license is due for renewal in less than 3 months) on the National Public Service Portal at: https://dvc4.gplx.gov.vn.

Furthermore, the Hue City Department of Transport recommends that in case of difficulties or problems, people can contact the unit directly for guidance and timely resolution.

The Vietnam Road Administration has sent a document to the Ministry of Transport regarding the transfer of 15 categories related to driver training and testing to the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security.
