The 8th Dak Nong Provincial Press Award in 2023 had 16 participating units. The Award Council received 105 press works from 78 authors and groups of authors in 5 categories: television, radio, print, electronic newspapers, press photos, etc.

The 2023 Press Awards continue to innovate in terms of members and methods of judging and selecting works. The members of the Judging Council are divided into 4 groups corresponding to 5 types of journalism. The topics, content, and forms of the works are more systematic and of higher quality. Some works have new, concise, brief topics, rich content, and combine many methods of information transmission to create a widespread and attractive effect on readers.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council of the 8th Dak Nong Provincial Press Awards, 2023 agreed with the proposal of the Award Judging Council to award prizes to 51 works of authors and groups of authors.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Journalists Association, the Department of Information and Communications, and relevant units to carefully prepare for the Award Ceremony and activities to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024) to be solemn and meaningful.
