The spirit of overcoming difficulties of both teachers and students
On the morning of August 30, Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training; Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, Commander of Military Region 5, led a working delegation to visit and present gifts to students at Hoang Van Thu Secondary School and No Trang Long Primary School (both located in Quang Son Commune, Dak Glong District, Dak Nong).
The Minister of Education and Training acknowledged that Dak Nong is a locality with many ethnic groups living together, the people's lives are still difficult, many students are from poor households. Therefore, the children's ability to go to school is the result of the efforts of the family, the attention of the authorities at all levels, especially the spirit of overcoming difficulties of both teachers and students.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Son suggested that Dak Nong continue to implement policies, pay attention and care for education and training in the area. In recent years, the education sector has been innovating, with the task of human development as the foundation and focus, so teachers must overcome difficulties and challenges, renew education and training, and strive to complete the task of cultivating people.

On this occasion, the delegation presented many gifts to 2 schools, along with 100 bicycles to students in Quang Son commune and Dak R'mang commune (both in Dak Glong district).
Efforts to overcome difficulties
On the same afternoon, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province held a conference to summarize the 2022-2023 school year and deploy tasks for the 2023-2024 school year. Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son also attended the conference.
According to the report of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, in the 2022-2023 school year, the whole province has 367 educational institutions, including 41 non-public educational institutions. The total number of students is 182,675, including 58,120 ethnic minority students.
At the conference, Ms. Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, informed that after 20 years of establishment of the province, the quality of education has made progress, meeting the needs of the locality. If in 2004, the province only had 174 educational institutions with more than 105,000 students, now the province has 367 educational institutions with more than 182,000 students.

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son suggested that Dak Nong should pay more attention to the development of education and training. Mr. Son assessed that in the 2023-2024 school year and the following years, the education sector of the whole country as well as in Dak Nong in particular will face many difficulties and challenges.
"The province needs to review what equipment is still usable, what needs to be purchased new, what problems are there to find ways to resolve them... Teachers and the entire education sector of the province need to continue to promote good traditions, uphold the spirit of solidarity and creativity, strive to overcome difficulties, and strive to achieve more results," the Minister of Education and Training emphasized.
At the conference, representatives of the Vietnam Education Publishing House presented more than 1,000 sets of books to disadvantaged students and 10 textbook shelves for shared use by schools in Dak Nong.
