The official visit to Vietnam by Senior Lieutenant General Álvaro López Miera took place in the context of the special and exemplary solidarity and friendship between the two Parties and countries, founded and painstakingly built by President Ho Chi Minh and leader Fidel Castro, always respected and nurtured by generations of leaders of the Party, State, Army and people of the two countries, and has continuously developed positively. The official visit to Vietnam by Senior Lieutenant General Álvaro López Miera aims to contribute to strengthening political trust and solidarity between the two countries and the two armies; is an opportunity for the two sides to discuss issues of mutual concern, focusing on assessing the results of bilateral defense cooperation in recent times and orienting this cooperation in the coming time in accordance with the needs and capabilities of each side.
